- You need of veg. Oil.
- It's of sugar.
- Prepare of vanilla flavour.
- You need of vinegar.
- Prepare of red food colouring.
- It's of butter milk.
- You need of flour.
- Prepare of baking soda.
- You need of cocoa powder.
You can bake the loaf a couple of days in advance and finish with cream cheese frosting just before serving. - Combine all the dry ingredients, flour,baking soda and cocoa powder.
- Whisk egg,oil and sugar till fluffy.
- Add vanilla.
- Add vinegar.
- Add red food coloring.
- Add half of the dry ingredients.
- Add the butter milk.
- Add the remaining dry ingredients.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake.
- Out of the oven,allow it to cool and garnish with whipped cream, chopped strawberries and almond's.

Red velvet cake has a subtle chocolate flavour and a slight tang from the buttermilk.
