  1. You need of butter or margarine.
  2. You need of brown sugar.
  3. It's of pineapple.
  4. It's of dried heya.
  5. You need of all purpose flour.

  8. You need of tsps baking powder.
  9. You need of salt.
  10. It's of Pineapple syrup(drained from the pineapple can).
  11. You need of water.
  12. It's of oil (if using croma).

Pineapple upside down cake step by step

  1. Preheat your oven then line a 9" or two smaller tins like I did. Assemble your ingredients so that you work easier and faster..
  2. Melt the 2 tbs margarine/butter on a non stick pan over low heat. Pour it in your lined Tins..
  3. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the melted butter/margarine..
  4. Arrange pineapple slices over the brown sugar. Place a dried heya in the center of each pineapple slice..
  5. In a mixing bowl,cream the remaining butter/margarine and sugar then add in beaten eggs,vanilla,pineapple syrup,water,oil and salt..
  6. In a separate bowl,sieve/aerate flour and baking powder. Make a well and pour the wet mixture above to make batter..
  7. Pour over the pineapple and then bake for 50-55mins at 180°.
  8. Let the cake cool for 5mins then turn it over a plate and let it cool that way then pull out the tin after a while longer..
  9. Serve while somewhat warm. I'm sprung!!.
